Lake Tahoe’s Shining Stars “Chance to Dance” Scholarship Program
At Lake Tahoe’s Shining Stars, we believe that every child should have the opportunity to pursue their passion for dance, regardless of their financial situation. Our Dance Scholarship Program is designed to provide financial assistance to talented and dedicated young dancers in our community who require support to continue their dance education.
We are so proud to announce that we have over $15,000 to award in tuition assistance for dancers in our in community.
We have already awarded nearly $30,000 in tuition assistance since 2022.

Program Overview:
The Lake Tahoe’s Shining Stars Dance Scholarship Program offers partial tuition scholarships to eligible students who demonstrate a strong commitment to dance, a passion for learning, and financial need. Our goal is to ensure that no child is denied the chance to shine due to financial constraints.
Eligibility Criteria
- Applicants must be residents of the Lake Tahoe community.
- Applicants must be enrolled or planning to enroll in The Studio dance program
- Applicants must demonstrate financial need.
- Applicants must exhibit a passion for dance and a commitment to their dance education.
Scholarship Benefits
- The scholarship covers a portion of the dance tuition fees, reducing the financial burden on families.
- Recipients will have access to high-quality dance instruction, performance opportunities, and the chance to develop their skills in a supportive environment.
- Recipients will become part of the Lake Tahoe’s Shining Stars family, benefiting from mentorship and support from our dedicated team.

Interested candidates must complete an application form, providing details about their dance background, financial situation, and sign the acceptance contract
*Review Process
Applications will be reviewed by a committee of Lake Tahoe’s Shining Stars board members and dance instructors
**Deadline and Notification:**
Applications accepted until August 26th, 2024
Notifications within two weeks of application submitted
- Applications are accepted on a rolling basis, with specific deadlines announced annually.
- Successful applicants will be notified within 2 weeks of the application deadline.
